Hingvashtak is the traditional herbal mixture of pink Himalayan salt, spices and herbs that pacify excess of Vata in the body particularly from the gut. As with many spices, the terpenes, phenolic acid compounds, flavonoids, propanoids, glycosides, tannins, volatile essential oil (thymol), mucilage, etc found in Hingvashtak possess antifungal and anti-inflammatory activity.
