Brussel Sprouts Cooking

Turmeric-tossed Brussels Sprouts

It is a delicious and healthy recipe.

  • Cut them into halves, about six Brussels sprouts.
  • Next, my favorite fat, a tablespoon and a half of ghee. They're a really great source of potassium, rich in fiber, and they can help you reduce blood sugar.
  • A tablespoon of coriander powder to cool it down and a half a teaspoon of turmeric, the golden spice.
  • Half a teaspoon of salt.

A wooden bowl filled with whole coriander seeds, surrounded by ground coriander powder and fresh cilantro leaves, all set on a rustic wooden surface.

Now, they're not really good for Vata

because they can be drying. The secret for Vata is to add some extra oil or ghee. The astringent and bitter taste of bristle sprouts are perfect for pita and Kapha because they balance it out. They are good for clearing up the channels of the body, including your GI.
