Yashtimadhu Powder Morphology

Mulethi (Glycyrrhiza glabra), commonly known as licorice, belongs to the Fabaceae family. Its native range lies in India, Asia and Southern Europe. It is a herbaceous perennial plant which can grow up to 1 meter in height.

Its roots are stoloniferous while the leaves are pinnate (70 to 150 mm long) bearing 9–17 leaflets. The flowers are purple to pale whitish blue (8 to 12 mm long), and fruits are oblong pod (20 to 30 mm).
