A Path to Peace and Healing
Recently, at a wellness conference, Vaidya Jayagopal Parla (Jay), opened the gathering by leading everyone in chanting. In that moment, hundreds of people slowed down, placed their feet on the ground, and connected to the energy within and around them. The room shifted into calm, and what followed was a powerful reminder of the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
We want to share this experience with our Athreya community, because chanting is a practice anyone can bring into daily life.
When Jay leads, he begins by inviting you to sit comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe deeply into your heart. With every breath, golden light expands within, filling the body with peace and vitality. From this space, he guides us through a simple yet profound chant:
Peace for my body.
Peace in my mind.
Peace surrounding my soul.
These words, repeated together, become more than sound—they are intention. With Jay’s guidance, chanting transforms into a daily ritual that grounds the nervous system, clears the mind, and nurtures the soul.
Chanting with Jay is both practice and teaching. Rooted in classical Ayurvedic tradition, it reminds us that true health comes not only from herbs and diet but also from the rhythms of breath, sound, and awareness.
